About The Show
A workout for your soul.
At what point in life does a woman stop dancing to the beat of someone else's rhythm and begin to find her own?
Set to the razor sharp sounds of international percussionist Manu Joste, Phoenix uses storytelling and movement to explore power dynamics, authenticity and the messy joy of a woman rising from the ashes in order to create a life on her own terms. This show promises to grab you by the heart strings and not let go until the last beat has been drummed.
First performed at The Bloomsbury Festival in 2023 to a sell out audience, Phoenix was performed again in 2024 again at The Bloomsbury Festival and also the Voila! Festival in London. In 2025 we took the show to Proteus Theatre in Basingstoke and The Everyman in Cheltenham and have an upcoming run at Arches Lane Theatre Summer 2025.
Audience feedback includes:

-
“You really will think it is you up there in this honest feminine experience’ - Basingstoke Gazette
